Our Pastors
In 1996, Apostle Derek Cooper and Pastor Cynthia Cooper established “Spirit of the Word Evangelistic Outreach Ministries.” He serves in the five-fold ministry. Equipped in the knowledge and understanding of the Word of God, he has been ordained to Mentor Men and Women with the Mantle of Ministry. Apostle Cooper has traveled nationally and internationally speaking the oracles of The Holy Spirit. Apostle Derek Cooper’s current academic accomplishments include but not limited to: Bachelor in Business Management, Associates in License Chemical Dependency Counselor, Bachelor in Biblical Study, Masters in Christian Counseling, Doctors of Arts in Theology, and Board Certified Christian Counseling Clinical.

In 1996, Pastor Cynthia Cooper alongside her husband established “Spirit of the Word Evangelistic Outreach Ministries.” Pastor Cooper has exemplified great strength, dynamic teaching and preaching under the anointing of God. Pastor Cooper is a mentor for women of all walks of life and has a burden for God’s people. Many souls have been won through her testimony and ministry. Pastor Cynthia Cooper works for Phoenix House for Drug and Alcohol clients and in the Ministry. Her education includes: Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications at Prairie View A & M University, an Associate Degree for License Chemical Dependency Counselor at Lone Star Community College, and a Bachelor Degree in Theology from Calvary Theological Seminary.

On February 22, 2021, Apostle Derek Cooper went home to be with the Lord. His legacy and vision continue to be carried out by his wife and congregants.
